Bonefishes are a close relative of tarpon with an average size ranging between three and five pounds. These fishes prefer the shallow waters of Bahamas for feeding. It is a treat to watch these fish moving around catching flies in the clear shallow waters. One can even try their hands on large fish that are present in the reefs. Deep sea fishing involves catching giants like sharks and whales and requires extremely skilled professionals.
There are numerous lodges and resorts that provide accommodation, rent out fishing gear, have their own in-house boats and a team of independent guides helping tourists in their pursuit of fishes. Various international fishing tournaments are also conducted in these islands.
