Information should be sought only at registered government offices. One should never entertain any private parties.
One should always carry some amount of local currency in the pocket. There are quite a many places in third world countries that are worth a visit but don’t have access to ATMs. It would be an added advantage on the travel if one gets fairly acquainted with the official language of the country.
